These are my current "new normal" habits of my day to day life:
morning temperature checks, every day
daily body scan-how do I feel? (aches? lungs? any coughing?)
limited physical contact with others (mainly parent I am taking care of)
limited social interactions (necessary shopping/errands, now seeing some close family/friends who are risk aware/averse & minding of physical distancing)
wearing mask covering nose and mouth whenever I am in indoor public spaces. (I would also wear in populated outdoor spaces where physical distancing might be challenging, but I have not put myself in that situation since the pandemic started.)
frequent hand washing, and use of hand sanitizer before and after entering public spaces and whenever I come in contact with common touch points in public.
regular testing for COVID, reactive & antibody tests (blood donations check for antibodies)
mindful of general health & self care (drinking water, taking vitamins, plenty of rest, good diet, yoga, meditation, stress reduction/balance)
Adhering to special COVID related safety protocols for work that includes client risk assessment, discussion of comfort/boundaries to observe during meeting, extra cleaning/sanitizing care of incall environment. (more info on this to be posted soon)
Currently still avoiding:
eating out at indoor restaurants, or going to bars/cafes/clubs
large crowds or gatherings of 10 or more
intimate touch or play with personal play partners (I am solo polyamorous, and many of my partners have numerous other partners...)
air travel
seeing any new clients in person
As a part of my updated protocols, I have decided to space any professional in-person meetings at least 3 days apart. My current follow up protocols also include contacting client (or client contacting me) if anyone starts to have any COVID symptoms or concerns after our meeting, and also touching base 14 days post-meeting to confirm everyone is feeling healthy.
Is it helpful knowing this information? What behaviors or protocols have you created to reduce risks, both personally and professionally?
